Responsibilities:
• To act in a coaching/teaching role with adolescents, modeling healthy values, effective problem solving, and relationship skills.
• Work as part of an assessment and treatment team supporting young people who are experiencing mental health difficulties.
Qualifications:
• Child and Youth Worker/Child and Youth Care Diploma or bachelor’s degree in a related discipline. Candidates currently enrolled in programs matching this description will also be considered.

Individual and Family Therapist
Full-Time Permanent and Contract Positions Available
Hours of Work: Full Time - Flexible Work Options
Responsibilities:
• To actively engage youth and their families in a therapeutic process that includes assessment, goal setting and evidence-based intervention.
• To provide individual, family and group therapy.
• To work effectively as a member of a multi-disciplinary team.
• To maintain a strong knowledge base in specialized areas such as anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation and behaviour, borderline personality disorder and other disorders occurring with the youth served.
• To quickly assess areas of concern or high-risk behaviours.
• To demonstrate a high degree of skill relating to parents/guardians regarding the nature of risk situations and to assist parents/guardians with safety planning.
• To coordinate services by facilitating relationships between the youth, their family, and all outside resources including social services, health organizations and community schools.
• To formulate treatment plans, progress statements and discharge summaries.
Qualifications:
1. Masters or Bachelor of Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling; preferably a minimum of three years’ experience in a setting providing treatment services to youth and their families; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
2. Registration and good standing with the appropriate governing regulatory body.
3. Experience working with youth or mental health services is a definite asset.

Registered Nurse - Midnights
We provide inpatient psychiatric assessment services for patients 16 years and younger, who require brief periods of hospitalization, in an off-site, home-like unit, located at Maryvale. This is a small unit of 6 beds capacity.
Nurses with an interest in mental health services and supporting young people may find our environment very rewarding. The primary demands of the position relate to providing therapeutic support and encouragement, as opposed to high-paced medical intervention.
Job Summary:
- Work as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team consisting of child and youth care workers, social worker, psychiatrists, and consulting general practitioner.
- Be responsible and accountable for the ongoing medical assessment and monitoring of the patient’s health status, identification of patient’s needs and the development of care plans to meet those needs.
- Monitor and administer medications.
Provide nursing care as part of an off-site, acute care hospital unit.
Qualifications:
- A passion for supporting young people, and a desire to provide a consistent, caring adult presence in their lives.
- Previous hospital, community, primary health care, or psychiatric nursing experience considered an asset but not required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, an ability to actively connect with patients, staff, and family members.
Education/Training Experience:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing
- Licensed with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Basic Life Support –current or willing to update upon hire.
- COVID-19 vaccination.

Psychologist
About Maryvale Adolescent and Family Services:
We are an accredited Youth Mental Health Centre dedicated to providing top-tier mental health services to uplift the lives of youth and their families facing emotional, social, or behavioural challenges. Operating in Windsor-Essex and Chatham-Kent, our commitment is deeply rooted in the values of respect, inclusion, collaboration, learning, innovation, and accountability.
Position Overview:
As a Psychologist at Maryvale, you will report to the Director of Day Treatment and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team framework. Your primary role would encompass psychological assessment, consultation services for adolescents and their families, as well as interfacing with treatment teams and community agencies. Additionally, there will be opportunities to mentor and supervise clinical psychology practicum students.
Compensation Details:
- Salary Range: $46-$51 per hour
- Benefits: Available for roles with a minimum of 20hrs per week
Qualifications and Experience:
- Doctoral degree in Psychology.
- Current registration or eligibility with the College of Psychologists of Ontario.
- Authorization or eligibility to provide Clinical, Neuro, or School Psychology services.
- Authorization to work with Children and Adolescents.
- Proven expertise in evidence-based psychological assessment and treatment.
- Strong organizational skills, excellent time management, and a genuine commitment to community mental health.
- Experience in crisis intervention, program planning, and consultation will be considered an added advantage.
